Tricia Mueller is the Founder and CEO of Groundwork Strategies, where she leads clients in shaping political strategy, developing issue advocacy and public affairs campaigns, and fostering stakeholder engagement. With deep expertise as a labor liaison, Tricia bridges the gap between businesses and labor unions, helping both sides navigate the complex landscape of labor relations.

The media have repeatedly identified Tricia as one of the best-connected and most powerful influencers in politics. She is a leading voice on labor issues and women’s issues, and her experiences give her keen insight into the construction industry and markets, which she brings to bear for clients. She is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and previously served as Vice-Chair of the National Board of Directors for the New Leaders Council and as a PAC Board Member for Planned Parenthood NJ. 

Tricia is the former long-standing political director for the carpenters union. She rose to the title of National Political Director for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and previously served as state director for Obama for America.

A longtime Democratic strategist, Tricia has run candidate campaigns and independent expenditure efforts nationwide, most recently serving as a Senior Advisor to Mikie Sherrill for Governor.

Tricia is a graduate of The College of New Jersey; was a student at Augsburg College’s Center for Global Education in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and has completed postgraduate coursework at Rutgers University and the Extension School at Harvard University. Tricia has also been a visiting Lecturer at the Campaign School for Women at Yale University.
